mid-1980s LA-4 Buccaneer prang QLD

For those of you who have been around since then, does anybody have any information regarding a Lake Buccaneer amphib which suffered a collapsed undercarriage whilst landing at (I think) Airlie Beach circa 1985-ish? A copy of the accident investigation would be ideal, if indeed one was carried out.

If the answer is yes, I would appreciate it if you could PM me.

Could it be 197500019

Date & detail don't quite match. If not have a dig around in the ATSB site - Rego or Serial number would help.

There were 5 LA4s operating out of Airlie beach in the 80s.

Could this be the one?

And another Buccaneer went missing in the Whitsundays around mid 1980s.
I was one of the searching pilots. After a while, the search was called off as nothing found. I subsequently changed jobs & localities,so heard no more. Does anyone know if it was ever found?

One went missing on theGold Coast in the last ten years after its owner bought a Renegade.....I believe its been rediscovered in the back corner of the hanger and has been getting a refurb!

Nothing like having two floaties!

Seagull V and Fris B. Fairing,

No - not the one, but thanks.
Further intelligence suggests it was actually an Air Whitsunday machine. The collapsed undercarriage seems accurate, as is the Airlie Beach location, but the year may be out by +1 or -6.
