CIR Renewal Tassie

Anyone know anywhere decent in Tassie to get a renewal done.
Moving down there soon from FNQ.
Would it be best to do it before I go?

Unfortunately this year I need to take care of it myself. :ugh:

Another vote for Mr. Pearce! Only bad thing is that his availability at short notice can be difficult.

PropDuster, the only ATO I know of in Tassie who can do a CIR is Doug Chipman in the south of the State. Sorry I don't have a contact number but if you contact the Aero Club of Southern Tas (03) 6248 5370 they will be able to give it to you.

However, the real problem is getting a suitable aircraft in which to do the test as there are very few, if any, twins which are available for hire.

Thanks all for the feedback.

Sounds like a decent outfit at Moorabbin but I've managed to sort something out short notice at Shepparton on the way down.
Just means hanging around in Nagambie for a few days, no great hardship there.

Why are you moving to Tassie from Far Nth QLD? Ya gunna freeze your butt off this time of year? Would that be with Gawne's in shepparton?

struba

Yep Gawne's to the rescue.

Not wrong re the wx, cold enough this time of year in Victoria :uhoh:

Missuz Prop scored a plumb job in Hobart hence the big move.
