Jaa instructor - Oz instructor

Hi all,

Does anyone out there know how to go about getting your Oz grade 3 instructors ticket based on a Jaa instructor rating.

From what I can tell it may just take abit of paperwork and a test with an 'approved person', I was just wondering if a Jaa examiner would count as a CASA approved person, if anybody knows and wouldnt mind enlightining me that would be great. :)

Get your CASA CPL - Air Law exam and Flight test
Grade 3 Instructor Rating test- The approved person is likely to be a CASA Examiner or at least a CASA Delegate examiner. No the JAA examiner will not count.

CAR 5.104 and CAO 40.1.7 apply ... You can read them on-line here:
HTTP://www.casa.gov.au/scripts/nc.dl...D::pc=PC_90902

As Whiskey says, you'll need a CASA CPL first, then the Grade 3 initial issue test.

"Approved Person" is defined in the CARs as a person with a very specific legal piece of paper issued by the Director of CASA. (my paraphrase)
