NZ Air Law Exam

Hi there :)

I need to convert my European ATPL JAR License into a NZ ATPL License.
Therefore I have to do a Air Law Exam. Is there anybody who can share his experience how to do it, how to handle the new Computer test, is there a questionnaire? It would be very helpful for me!
Thank in advance :)

I have to do the same exam, so I can't tell you what it's like (yet).

Apparently there are no example papers available at present, as they had to be changed after the last rule change and nobody has got around to re-writing the papers.

I have written an ATPL law book, basically the whole syllabus laid out with the appropriate regs next them. If you want a copy, PM me your email address and I'll email it to you.

I believe you'll need to study and then book an exam.

Book your exam here: https://www.asltasman.com/TOL/Genera...sponsorid=8709

ASL use computer based exams now, I sat one last week.

You go into a room full of computers, you start your exam and answer multi choice questions there.
You can go back and forth between questions and there's a finish button at the end.
You get your results once the time runs out on your exam from the ASLTasman website.

If you're looking for some material to study then Mark Woodhouse has a good ATPL Air Law study guide from :
Aviation Waypoints - courses

His material is very much related towards passing the ASL exam.

Learning ATPL air law in a book is very much different from experiencing it in a jet and I'd imagine it wouldn't be too hard for you since you already have your JAA ATPL.

All the best!

We're all leaving - it's not what it used to be.

Hope the beer is still cold :)

People are leaving? I just got back. Still a great place if you ask me... but then I spent 20 years in Europe, so...
