Gordon Bretag

Does anyone know where Gordon Bretag is after OZJET and whats he like to work for

zanzibar 6th Sep 2009 06:44

What a strange question - you don't know where he is but want to know what he's like to work for. How would you ever consider working for him if his whereabouts are unknown?

Incidentally, if you do find him and write to him for a job, at least spell his name correctly....

Very soon to be new CP of CSWAFC @YPJT.

tinpis 6th Sep 2009 10:38

Gordon? Good lord, wasn't he the CP of Pontius's Pilots?

olderairhead 8th Sep 2009 00:07

zanzibar, unless you know another Gordo, I think you will find his name has been spelt correctly.

"Very soon to be new CP of CSWAFC @YPJT"

...sorry...what does CSWAFC stand for? I am an Easterner you see.

illusion 8th Sep 2009 10:45

Dunno what it stands for but if HE is going for that gig it is a reflection of the depth of the financial crisis. Must be down to his last 3 mil.

To the Yacht Gordo!!!

PS thanks for the job offer at Ozjet......but no thanks:E

Art Vanderlay 8th Sep 2009 11:51

I didn't know what CSWAFC meant neither, but he oracle of Google revealed it to be :
China Southern West Australian Flying College

To the original question though - is he a good guy to work for? YES sirree! The absolute best CP I have ever known. He can't stand sycophants though, (so you better not tell him to his face) but a real straight shooter, take no prisoners kind-of-a-guy. He rewards honesty and integrity and even has his own waypoint named after him in the Pacific - GORDO! If you have the opportunity to get to know Gordo - go for it:ok:

"Is he the one who joined TAA in 1967?"

Gordon joined TAA in 1967, completed a DC-3 course and on completion was posted to TPNG as an F/O on type and based in Rabual. As to the spelling of his surname the original poster was correct.:ok:

But "Rabual" is spelt "Rabaul".

Last I saw him, he was with APNG after OzJet! Is he seriously going to China Southern? :\

gas-chamber 9th Sep 2009 10:30

He is already there instructing on the Citation. Training is something he has always enjoyed. He can't be doing it for the money. But the first time they piss him off he will go sailing again, I predict.

Airstream did not get old GB bagged the way he was hoping to. Nice try WC.
Meantime the AFAP site has a jet job going at China Southern for anyone interested.
