QF A380 already flying from MEL?

According to this article, it flies twice a week from MEL. Anyone know which days? And yes, I've checked the QF timetable but no mention of it.

It certainly is, just look up the Qantas site for Mel - Lax fares and you'll see it in there.

Ah yes, thanks. Departs Mondays and Wednesdays and arrives back in Melbourne on Friday. :ok:

Any idea what happens to the aircraft once it returns to Melbourne on the Friday? Does it fly on domestic routes on the weekend before flying again to LAX on Monday?

Quite a few empty positioning flights between SYD and MEL at the moment.

Yes...because one revenue sector domestically would mean that some "A" Pilots would need to be offered A380 positions.....and despite the rhetoric this is still unpalatable..to both AIPA and The Powers that be !!.....so empty it flies !! Go Figure! Nest ce pas ;)
