Over the counter Russian roulete.
Circulating in the email at the moment. A list of the over the counter drugs that will return a positive. This winter things could get awfully interesting!:ooh:

Nurofen Plus....bugger!
I'll have to rethink my whole breakfast menu ;) |
I currently have a head cold and am on an extended charter.
I did consider getting the usual OTC medications containing either pseudo-ephedrine or codeine as I know they will dry me out, make me feel better and get me over my cold a little faster. I then thought of the consequences of a random drug test and a false positive on the ramp next day!! I went to the chemist and asked for some medication that would be suitable regarding my condition and the possibility of a random drug test. She prescribed Panadol Sinus Relief. Active ingredients, Paracetomol 500mg, Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 5mg. She said this will not show up as a banned substance on any drug test. She forgot to tell me IT WON'T MAKE ME FEEL ANY BETTER I feel like Half a Dog Two dogs |
It would make life a lot easier if CASA could provide a complete list of over the counter medications (chemist and supermarket) that will produce a positive test result and the time span for which each drug will last in an average adults system.
|
I spoke with Casa re a list and they told me they have been asking their doctors for one , to no avail.
|
I'm not a pharmacist, so can anyone tell me whether these supplements are kosher - multivitamins, omega-3 (fish oil), glucosamine/chondroitin ?
|
ReverseFlight, it really depends on the product. Some are, most aren't. ESPECIALLY omega-3, as the ingredients used to create the gel like capsule are derived from pigs.
.......if you meant kosher in terms of a drug test, then yes, should be safe. |
They're ok, but looks like i'll have to give my poppy-seed coated bun a miss in the mornings! Bum.
|
You really should not be getting information that has the potential to ruin your career from an anonymous internet site. It's impossible to give a definitive list because drug formulations change all the time. The best bet is to talk to your DAME.
