Corporate Air

C441 Captain needed in Brisbane.

Any thoughts? Had a look at their website and have a general idea of what they do and the types they operate. I was only aware of their operations out of Canberra though, besides Brisbane and somewhere in the 'SA cooper basin' do they have aircraft based elsewhere?

Only heard good things about them, rated as one of the better charter companies in aus...

Dragging up an old thread as they are now advertising out of Canberra.

Anyone with some recent experience with these guys? Good mob to work for?

Do they actually run out of most cities as stated on their website or they just can service them?

Do they actually run jets? All previous info I have read say they only have conquests, metros, 404 and b58.

How many do they have in their fleet for conquests and metros?

Thanks to any who help :D

Very good to work for.

Turbine fleet, interesting and varied work, some mundane, night freight, then at a moment’s notice could be anywhere in Australia on a job.

Equipment well maintained, defects are fixed not hidden.

No pressure to break rules, opposite really.

Used to have bonds if you weren’t endorsed, amount reasonable, pro-ratad, expect them to be enforced though

You will work hard when there is work to be done, but if you look after them, they will look after you.

Downsides, Canberra bloody cold in winter, ad-hoc charter disruptive to social life, but you are well paid

They have had a lot of guys who have been given the chance there, have done their time and moved onto bigger and better things, QF VB CX Qlink.

:ok::D

Sounds good. Have not heard much about them. Guess no news is good news.

Do they actually own the Citation and Lear like their website says or are they just getting someone else to do the work?

fasterblaster 18th Jan 2011 22:51

Have also heard they are a good mob to work for.

Not sure about the Citation and Lear. A quick search of the aircraft register didn't turn up anything in regards to them.

'SA cooper basin'
On floats per chance?

Anyone heard anything in regards to the jobs advertised the other week? How many were they looking at?

Best Company I ever worked for!

aussie027 31st Jan 2012 06:35

Anyone have any further info on this company and it's present status re work types, T & C etc??

They have advertised twice this month, are they not getting any/enough suitable applicants for C441/ Metro 23???

The other threads are 3-5yrs old but people had some generally positive comments so just wondering why they were not swamped with good/ suitable candidates like a small Perth company recently was for small piston twins?
Must be plenty of pilots out there looking.

Wondering if I have missed some relevant info despite this site and web searches?

aussie027 7th Mar 2012 12:24

Does anyone at all have any info re this operator??
Can answer my previous Q re T & C etc??

kalavo 7th Mar 2012 22:40

Give them a call, from mates there they appear to be straight shooters with nothing to hide and quite happy to discuss T&C before an interview.

aussie027 19th Mar 2012 08:36

Is it a case of high pilot turnover or simply not getting suitable applicants?
Very Good Q, I asked the same thing above months ago.
I am very curious too as I was thinking of applying and no one answered any of my Questions above.

So you didn't apply because no-one answered your questions?

From what I have heard they sound like a pretty good operator, top tier GA. They have AAE night freight contracts to Sydney and Melbourne 4 nights a week in Metros/Titans with the occasional Conquest. I would also assume they have their fair share of Government work. Brisbane base sounds cruisey. From what I understand, the reason for the advertisement is due to pilots progressing to seemingly greener pastures. If it was anything else, there would be someone on here that would have already bashed them.

The caveat with the above being it is second hand information with potentially doubtful veracity.

They are getting 3 of them.

Aimpoint 22nd Oct 2012 04:10

Are they taking over the TNT and AAE freight work from Pel Air?

catseye 22nd Oct 2012 04:57

is there a link between Brindabella and Corporate Air??

Horatio Leafblower 22nd Oct 2012 10:24

No - Brindy's was bought by Business Air Holdings in Sept last year, and I am told Geoff Boyd sold his last shares out to BAH recently.

BAH of course also owns Aeropelican.

Some interesting manouvers coming in an attempt to merge the two entities too.

Revenue manager - Bailed out
Le Comercial Operating officer bailed out, or bailing
Geoff (Jeff?) Boyd - bailed

The charter business is good, and expanding. Not really my idea of fun, flying around smelly fat folk, but it pays well.

Corporate Air are one of the best operators I have ever had the pleasure of working with, and they are expanding on the back of their excellent record and reputation. They are one of the few GA good news stories :ok: .

Horatio Leafblower 29th Oct 2012 11:09

What work are the SAABs doing?

Orion Delta 29th Oct 2012 20:06

Saab 340B+ | Corporate Air
