The exception was Wellington, where the complete Air NZ and Qantas Trans-Tasman operation was by Air NZ DC-8.
Qantas re-entered the Wellington market in the mid eighties with 747s - the SP version which operated there for some years before the 767 operated to that city.

qfguy..I think it might be worse than that...

Ever since Jimmy Bowtie started the cut backs and selling off of assets it has been going downhill ever since ....culminating in the failed (luckily) but heavily endorsed (by the boys and girl on the top floor) take over bid....

I mean seriously that you would've had a mental problem not to see the benefit of that deal...:oh:

The worry I have is that one day the airline might be simply a virtual one....codeshare with every one else.That way they won't have to have the problem of dealing with liabilities such as staff....:yuk:

The founders and early managers of the airline must be spinning in their graves...
