Good work.

How does it feel flying behind an engine that sounds like a sewing machine? :D

Thank you all for the positive FB and congratulations. VH-XXX I did get a break on the base leg & final where we are expected to glide in with the power set to idle http://static.pprune.org/images/smilies/smile.gif

Congrats indeed. I completed mine a couple of months ago at Jandakot and haven't looked back. It's easily the best thing I've ever gone after and achieved.

harrip 8th Apr 2009 09:16

Well done - You'll keep that grin for some time :)

Ovation 8th Apr 2009 09:22

Happy as it's just a matter of a ceremony involving a goat and a nude runway run and your in the fraternity for life.

Thanks for posting to let us know, positive news is always welcome.
Good luck in your future flights

coconut99 8th Apr 2009 10:27

Well done, it's a great feeling indeed!

I still remember my first solo. The year was 1993, Cessna 152, about 35 degrees outside and 45 degrees inside. No need for the instructor to throw the bucket of water over my head (do they still do this???), I was already drenched in sweat. Ah the faded memories :8

Best of luck for your future ahead :ok:

Pretty good effort!:ok:

Most of us here would like our circuits to be that nice after many many hours!:}

Its just the beginning of the big learning curve and its a great curve to be on!

OZBUSDRIVER 8th Apr 2009 12:48

blueloo 8th Apr 2009 13:19

Congrats!

....but what the hell is that big orangy/yellow thing strapped to your rear end....90% perspex - scariest looking plane ever!

You get bonus points for bravery!

AvEnthusiast 8th Apr 2009 13:44

Congrats. Waiting for mine. But what's the story behind this bucket of water to be poured on the Capt. (after landing the first solo, the student is no longer student, he is a captain, am I right? :}) and do they do it everywhere.

Well done mate! And you lay in bed that night saying to yourself "i flew an aeroplane today".

It is such a long journey. You have started out on the right foot by capturing it on video. Take lots of photos and videos all the way.

It was just yesterday it seems for me. And i just kept persisting.

Blueloo - the view outside is fantastic and the handling of this a/c is very forgiving - a great trainer all round.
