BAe32's in Karratha
I rememeber a short while ago some people on Pprune (Skystar320 and BAE32Cheif... I think it was.. ) were talking about basing some 19 seater Jetsream's out of Karratha in March-April last year and building 5 x 1bdrm unit's somewhere near the hospital...
Whats the deal? Haven't seen the planes.. haven't seen the units... |
I found out tonight KFS are now operating a Beech 200... Great to hear if it's true!!!!

If you're getting them- and are going to operate them- there..........
And they are coming from, where they "all" are- small tip from someone who wouldn't know- overhaul the engines, if not replace the bugger's............... If you do have the brass- and are going the Kingair (or variant), forget any of the above. |
KFS have a couple of King-Airs I believe, a C90 and a 200...

Back to the J32 talk again... Some Karratha-Pannawonica thingy? Yeah, it's been talked about before, and year's later there is still no hangar, no accomodation, no aircraft.

No the J32 cannot land on gravel strips. I fly these in SA and we investigated the possibility of FIFO in SA, and these aircraft are not certified for gravel strip operation by either BAe or CASA.
I can't answer for the J41 though, but would assume this would be the same. |
I believe when Jetcraft were operating the J41 that got it certifed for gravel and maybe dirt.

I think Skystar320 and J32Chief have set up a new operation using Dunnza's Caravans. Can't tell you any more, very hush hush.
They were going to use Bizzybody's Barons but it fell through... :uhoh::ouch: |
