sweet! Ill do it! Got any preference on where i do my endorsement? Since, of course, im only paying fuel, i take it you pay for the endo!

Personally I think the idea is a noble one If you did not have to pay for fuel.

Plenty of this used to go on back in the day with 210's to get the magic 20 hours in the log before heading north. Some companies further south even used to charge for a pilot to pay for ICUS while the aircraft was engaged in charter operations. (a well known JT mob used to do this)

Points are noted that a company with a good rep will ICUS the pilot until they are let loose, and that is how it should be. Unfortunately some of the smaller companies around the traps can't afford this luxury all the time, so If someone is on the spot ready to go they will get preference for a slot.

There are plenty of Barons up and around the northern parts so 15 hours would come in handy, but not only that it would be a good experience if you have never flown out of your home state.

In an ideal world this would be a paid gig for a CPL with travel/lodging covered but it's not always an ideal world. Take it for what it is - agree or disagree, make it work for you or don't.

Safe flying!

I think these couple of posts from the last thread sum up the situation at hand!

I offer this time to pilots on here for FREE!!!!!!!!!
No fuel costs,
No Aircraft costs.
No ICUS costs.
FREE HOURS IN A BARON

I'd be happy to do your flight for you just send me a business class ticket to get to wherever the plane is, and pay me the daily rate for a ME CIR rated pilot, and you've got a deal.

This thread has given me a great idea! :ok:

The next time i have to go in for an operation. I will tell my doctor that I will let him/her operate on me, for the experience, provided he/she is willing to pay for all the theatre fees, insurance fees, surgical staff salaries and equipment costs. I'm sure they'd be willing to do that, and if he/she doesn't, i'm sure i'll find over a thousand of other doctors that would be screaming at that opportunity!!!

I guess the scary thing is that I probably would find some budding doctor that actually would agree to that! We are our own worst enemy!

for all those who messaged me thanks, they all no the situation behind it.

maybe people should try and find out the actual situation before shooting from the hip.

Beeroclock 15th Mar 2009 04:07

If you have found some sucker to do this why dont you continue on with this great deal for every job the aircraft gets?? All you have to do then is pay for maintenance but since it is such a sweet deal maybe you could get them to foot the bill for that as well...
