Classic full flight sims.

With all the classic generation jets leaving passenger service, whats happening to all the classic sims around the world.

Where would you find them advertised, and was wondering about running costs. yes I know not cheap, am thinking about a largish training school.

What about a fixed base version, do the have the same functionality as the level D sims, apart fom the lack of motion of course.

Qantas in Melbourne still have a B737-300 FFS as well as a 737-400 full flight simulator (FFS)
The Ansett Flight Simulator Centre, re-branded as Ansett Aviation Training, also in Melbourne, have 737-300 simulator as well.

MOTAT Auckland have an old Air NZ 747 sim, not sure what they have done with it.

In UK, a rich farmer and aviation admirer got hold of an ex BA Tri-star sim and set it up on his property.

The level D certification usually comes from the the sim instruments and functionality having maintenance to the same standard and regularity of a real plane.
