IR renewal prices, Auckland?
hi, whats the word on who has a decent rate on a twin for a multi IR renewal in the Auckland (guess it will have to be Ardmore) area?
cheers |
I would say 500ft/min would be a good starting point.
|
:D nice one gsf
Auckland Aero Club has a Partenavia and Eagle Flight Training has a Duchess. I wouldn't bother with the 'schools' out there. I would hate to think what the going rate is now. If you are down south, definitely go with Mainland in Dunedin. Great bunch of people, nice machines, reasonable rates. |
AAC have a Seneca as well, from memory it is something like $480 per hour for non-members, or at least it was a couple of months ago.
|
invercargill has a loggable senica sim (proper sim) and a senica II, shouldnt be too expensive with the sim taking out some of the flying time.
|
Thanks for the help
So far got these rates Ardmore Aeroclub Duchess $448 +25.70 landing fee, sim $175, don't have to pay to join. Auckland Aeroclub Seneca and Partinavia $550 non member +$27.68 landing fee, if you pay $265 to join then rate goes to $485. Out of interest I called Hastings $500 seneca and $100 sim. |
Anywhere?
Change of situation.
Anyone know of a cheap Twin Engine plane for about 15hrs of solo hire package deal, anywhere in NZ? |
try waikato aeroclub and northshore aeroclub they have PA30 which is a lot cheaper than most twin training aircrafts
|
Resurrecting an old thread.
Would anyone have any updated info about doing a renewal in Auckland? Would prefer to do it in a Seneca or a Duchess. Going to ring AKL aeroclub, Chargemore and North Shore aeroclub tomorrow to find out prices. Who else am I missing? I haven't flown IFR in about 9 months at this stage. |
Not the type you're after, but last I heard Airline Flying Club at Ardmore is operating a Tecnam twin that should be cheaper than any of the others.
|
Also, if I recall correctly, every second IR renewal can be done in a sim. Not sure about the ones in Auckland, but Waikato Aero Club has an approved sim.
|
only the X/C portion and 1 approach can be done in a sim
|
Cheers,
Might have to do it in a 172. Need to do more hours to try and get close to that 50 hours IFR requirement for part 135. |
