Show it at Sydney tower and they waive the $35 entrance fee... :E the thrill wears off after awhile though... :p

Also good for any crew bar in SIN, HKG etc etc... discounted drinks, free food, yada yada yada...

Doesn't work for 'upgrades'on Virgin.... I practically had to twist the girl's arm to let me sit in a spare exit row seat... knowing full well they needed minimum 2 in each row... she came back and let me move :E Get in quick and it's yours.... didn't flash the card for that though, it's just a bit sad. I do carry it when SLF-ing... just because you never know whose help you might need, fellow crew helping crew and all that jazz :}

And we all know that ASIC (as above) are not useful for anything!;)

Di-Vosh, in answer to your question, having not been on the -400 for about 3 years now, I have to rely on my spies. And they advise that is still very much the case on most occasions....... :eek::ok:

I don't think that said chick would be to impressed when she asks "What type of plane do you fly?" and I reply with "A 35 year old Cessna - but only when I can afford it"
I just say I fly a white one, really narrows it down :E

I have a pet pair of Cockatoos, they have a lot of fibre in their diet, sometimes I have trouble getting the cocky crap off the bottom of their cage, the ASIC card takes it off nicely.

D*mn.. you can get money off with it? Never knew that.

Have used it as checkin ID on VB - didn't get me any special seating, but I didn't ask.. was just being a smart*ss :)

Good for discount at most terminal shops at SYD/MEL, etc, and in DF Shops at Hong Kong :D Generally 10%, you only have to ask, they can only say Yes or No. Works for me :ok:

sthaussiepilot 29th Oct 2008 21:51

povopilot,

havent had to use it as ID to get in... :bored: how old do I look then :bored::bored:

Nice little discount on the booze in a few small places though, and yeah, please tell me you dont do that....

and worked nicely to get me out of a speeding ticket as you mentioned, cop had a look, asked about it, went off, came back, and said "slow up next time huh" with a little grin...

A Mate of mine recently got a discount on a pair of Ray-Ban Aviators.. he figured he'd have a go at asking.... 15% off :D

Never hurts to try... (to an extent)
