Virgin not popular in DRW

For the second time in as many weeks the midnight horror (0130/0550) from DRW to BNE is about 12 hours, yes 12 hours late.

very little advice to pax in DRW and nothing on the web page other than a rescheduled flight with a new number.

what gives??:mad::mad::mad:

I'm guessing that like QF and every other airline in the world from time to time, VB have had an A/C go U/S. As inconvenient as this is, #hit happens. Would people rather depart on time in an unserviceable A/C? :ugh:
What is happening here, I am defending VB!!!
No, I am just VERY sick of airline bashing. A/C are mechanical beasts. Things go wrong. Spare A/C don't sit around idle at XXX $ Million a pop. Get over it. Be thankful that people are professional enough to stop ****b#xes taking off on time. Unlike some other countries.
:(

Certainly be thankful for that but maybe realise airlines are going to get less reliable as things become tighter. What little slack they had in the system is being weeded out. Could always jump in the Cruiser and drive accross if you think its that bad!

cogwheel, if they were that much delayed and didnt tell the waiting pax, than wel that is a bit rude and would piss me off a bit.
but if they did inform the pax, than no harm done.
like said before they are mechanical things they brake down sh#t happens.
you just go to the bar in the terminal or to the airport resort across the road and have a few drinks and calm down:ok:

other than a rescheduled flight with a new number.
At least their OTP will still look good.

Before you go shooting of on prune, maybe you should wait for some facts!
The delay was not caused by DJ. The late notice and lack of information at that time of night (around midnight) is understandable due to the lack of staff on duty at night (at all airlines).

Last night's flight had an unscheduled return to Bris.
Pax Drama

Really nothing compared with hundreds of Pax stranded across the Top End the last few days. I heard the average delay was 15 hours!

Virgin...

Well, I went up to BRM from PH on Tues on a 'Jungle Jet' and, was pleasantly suprised.
Flight time of 2hrs 07, nice and comfy, good cabin service / crew, and 'almost everybody' gets a window...

Came back last night on the 737-700 - crowded - and not as much room I thought.

Much preferred the 'Jet from Brasil'. Really! :ok:

Aircraft with tech problems happen all the time, its how the airline handles the situation is what counts. Any airline should have an ops centre manned to cover all its flights. The excuse that there is no staff available because its night/week end is rubbish. Thats why managers and key personnel have company phones, and they should be able to sort out the problems.

Virgin not popular in DRW
I find that VERY hard to believe.

Then again I wouldn't think there would be many Virgins in Darwin anyway. :E
