Drug and Alcohol Test
i heard a rumor that five instructors were sacked out of a flying school based at bankstown after a surprise drug and alcohol test by casa early this week.
the d&a test was apparently random :ugh::ugh:and caught the five under the influence of MDMA... |
MDMA
I'll bite what's MDMA.
Kickatinalong:confused::confused::confused: |
WTF is MDMA?
Ahhh .. Eccies. Us country blokes dunno 'bout them disco-pills, ay :ooh: edit: Spending all day in a motel room, reading PPRuNe and cross-checking the CASA website is proving very informative... :} |
Five instructors from one flying school???... And all spaced out??? God help aussie aviation. There must be a shortage of students... or accidental overdose perhaps :E
No wonder there has been an increase of students falling out of skies recently due to spacecadets teaching them Good to see CASA doing their job where it all begins. |
google is your friend :E MDMA aka ecstasy, party drug of gen y apparently
Wouldn't surprise me.. five instructors partying on the weekend, getting caught on Monday :ok: Stupid and young, eh  they're not gonna make that mistake again :hmm: |
students falling out of skies recently |
I could never understand it -
in the mines you have kids of 20 pulling $1400 per week after tax, and they risk it all to have a billy at the party on Saturday night. That's coal mining and supposed to be a whole different ballgame to Flying... isn't it? :uhoh: |
I didnt think the CASA testing had started yet?
|
So long as its done fair and square..... bring it on and nail the bas:mad:ds.
All of them! J:* |
Better watch your ass tassie boy, it came into force on 22. Sept. 2008 :E
|
Interesting rumour.. where did you hear that? :bored:
5.. FIVE instructors seems abit unbelievable. |
in the mines you have kids of 20 pulling $1400 per week after tax, and they risk it all to have a billy at the party on Saturday night. That's coal mining and supposed to be a whole different ballgame to Flying... isn't it? Part of it is just that they're silly kids, experimenting with life and not thinking too hard about the consequences.. some will pay a high price for it. I find it harder to comprehend why a pilot would want to do it, there's so much excitement in that job, why anyone would need drugs, must have other issues and probably shouldn't be flying in the first place := |
The regulations came into effect on 22 September but I dont think the CASA testing starts till later in the year. At least that was the story at their presentations. Which makes me wonder who was doing the testing?
|
5 instructors. That's gotta be crap. So they ALL took Eccies the night before and ALL got caught? Must have been a big tip-off otherwise it didn't happen.
|
Boys and girls........it's true......and apparently thats not the only prob this particular organisation has.
Sit and down and watch the fun. Maybe some students or instructors may care to comment?:suspect: |
Well.... c'mon... give us a hint...
...would this school have been tested because of their very close proximity to CASA's back door, perhaps? ...or because it is close to the Pub and CASA dropped in on their way back from lunch, maybe? ...perhaps because ... are all known drug fiends? :uhoh: |
Horatio
It was not the Uni guys, but as someone said watch this space, it is correct.
Kickatinalong:=:=:= |
boo @ deleting my post :(
|
...and mine.
But DUS, I still love your work :ok: |
If it is true, good to see CASA taking someaction and doing something for once.
Couldnt be happier to see these guys get what they deserve, no regard for the law or other peoples lives. Why anyone would spend the money (probably mummy and daddys) on training and all that time of studying to risk it all over that stuff...you must be off your dial Im affraid i think the problem is much more widespread and i hope the testing continues! |
