Mechanical chinagraph/ grease pencils in Australia

G'day guys and girls

Having googled extensively, it seems that in Australia you can only buy the standard chinagraph pencils and the only few places in America that sell the mechanical (retractable) ones don't happen to ship to Australia.

Has anyone else encountered that or is it just my poor googling ability =)

HH,

He's after chinagraph pencils: the link you show is to ordinary propelling pencils ;)

HH, Listo Corporation presents : Marking Pencils & Refill Leads is what i'm after, but in australia.

the abovementioned are politely ignoring our queries as to why they won't mail an order here.

Not an answer to your question, but an alternative to chinagraph pencils are super-fine tipped permanent markers. Just use metho to clean them off. The paper needs to be waterproofed somehow, they work well on the laminated ASA WACs and whizwheels.

Cheers AerocatS2A, but the beauty of chinagraph is that you can just scribble ATIS/ clearances on your kneepad and then rub it off and change as required in flight. I've used non-permanent markers before, but they leave bigger marks on fingers/cuffs than chinagraphs.
and the beauty of mechanical chinagraph over your normal one is that they won't leave marks on anything you don't want + you can see if the lead is broken.

Not a biggie for all you bigger cockpit dwellers where you use notepads and pens, but for little whirly things with doors off, i like my kneepads compact and preferably covered with plastic / glass.

Oops, let me Google again and RTFQ!:O

Here is the pencil!

Here are the replacement leads!

Another in the UK!

Sorry couldn't help with any in Oz, but these ones at least aren't in the US, nothing wrong with your Googling skills!:ok:

HH, you're a legend. http://www.afeonline.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=59{2}3 is the cheapest both for the pencil and the delivery to OZ.

Thanks everyone for looking and your input.

I use a whiteboard marker and scribble on the windows. wipes right off when your finished flying. I use it in the whirlymagigs too. works a treat.
