VH-BME down near JT...

And just so that WA is in the news as well......

VH-BME, PA-28R, appears to have done a 'heavy landing' in a suburban street in Wattleup, a Perth suburb near JT.

Nil injuries apparently - Two occupants walked away O.K.

All is good!

'cept for the poor acft - and the insurance co I guess.

From the photo, Left wing appears to have hit a pole and is dislodged at the wing root.
If I could post the pic, I would - no doubt it will appear soon, posted by someone more clever (not hard) than me.

Cheers

VH-BME?

I saw the same aeroplane this afternoon at JT taxing away with 2 pax onboard.

When did the accident happen?

G'Day 'FML',

First report seemed to indicate around 4 - 4.30pm or so.

You may well have seen it departing - the 'crash' site near Lake Thompson - would probably indicate probs experienced not long after dep.

Cheers

Glad no one was injured.
Disregard the comment I made about it being a bucket. One letter difference in the rego to the one I was thinking it was. :uhoh::O
