Interview Q's
Hey all, Finally made it up north, im just wondering what sort of reply's would be good for this question in interviews.
"Why should I employ you over a pilot with 500/600 hours?" and any other questions i might get asked would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! |
"Give me an example of a time when you let your boss down."
"Give me three words that describe you, with examples to back them up." "Give me an example of a time you had to go outside SOPs to get the job done." |
What do you drink?
- What have you got? |
"Give me an example of a time you had to go outside SOPs to get the job done."
I have heard variations of this one being asked around the traps, one being "Give me an example of a time you had to go outside SOPs" by itself. Just wondering what an interviewer is thinking when they ask it. One case being, Yes, I broke an SOP to do something could mean: -ve: Disregard for operating procedures / Cowboy attitude +ve: Did it to avoid a crash as SOP's didn't cover the scenario Other case being, No, Never break SOPs +ve: Good pilot, follow the manual -ve: Can't think outside the box / think on your feet. Blindly follow whats written. What do you reckon?? NM |
I reckon "have never been in the situation yet where a departure from the SOPs was required" would be the best answer, but thats just my opinion, and I'm a pilot, not a recruiter, so that usually makes my answers wrong:}
