C210 with the lowest hours in OZ
I am sure this is like folk who buy cars and put them up on blocks....... but how many C210's are there in Oz with less than 1000 hours TT on them?
I saw one on the weekend with an amazing 800 hours TT :D. In pristine condition and from what I can tell its maintained by a LAME fanatically. Engine gets run often and is always hangared. Must be nice to keep it at home! So I wonder if you flew it up north to Broome or somewhere and had an auction, would it start a rowdy brawl in the street over the bidding? J:ok: |
1000hours TT, 5000hours maintenance ey? :P
What year is it just outta interest? :ok: |
A P210, I could even be tempted to fly a single if it was in one of those, especialy an almost new one!:ok:
|
To add to that, how many aircraft have you de-flowered?
I'm up to 7 and hoping for more :) It's a special feeling to jump into the cockpit when you are the first one. |
XXX.......... You just know I am busting to reply to that. Wait till I make up a good version of that story for Ms J XXX:ok:
Ixixly, I reckon you are right about the hours! Think it was an 83 model, towards the end of 210 production. It might actually come on the market soon. Someone will score a nice machine one day, and its in Brissy too! J:ok: |
how many ....... have you de-flowered Now, what is it we are talking about? Oh yeah, aeroplanes! Dr :8 |
When I spoke to the owner a few weeks back, it had 728 hrs TTAE and he wanted $350k's for it. I reckon that's about $150k's (or more) too much.

Assume it was the same one. I was not aware he was actively selling. I think it would be a good buy at the right price, but not quite that high.

Cannot compete with that one but there are still a few low-timers around in the States - came accross this the other day:
I am at the end of my flying days and have decide to sell my NA 210L, N93092, 21060256, NDH. It is currently getting an annual at Paul New's shop, and all cylinders are at least 70/80 they tell me. The mayor points are: 1600TT, 400SMOH, 2nd owner, always hangared, 530/430W, GMX 200, KFC 200 Autopiot, Ryan 9900B Traffic, stormscope, terrain, XM wx and radio. Air MoD interior. $168,000. If interested, PM with an email and I will send a full list of details and pictures. Tony Randall [email protected] Even got the Dr's 145/146 thingy done! Still mostly 34 years old though (about twice the age of the average NT CPL these days eh?) Might be interesting 'unfrocking' a 34 year old, if anyone knows of one that been locked up in hangar somewhere. |

Anyway, might not be the lowest time, but the best most gorgeous, most pampered, immaculate, best equipped (P)210 in Australia? FMX - absolute exhibition piece, for drooling only. |
I remember flying some of those old Chartair 210's, in the wet season, IFR (ya listening Wally? :E), in some pretty atrocious conditions, and the M/R showed 23,000hrs on one of them. That was 3 + years ago!
Ohhhh, I shudder at the thought now. What WAS I doing,. morno |
It does look like it could get a bit flaky but probably has years left in it The shop has a good reputation, but I have to say, I was rather disapointed with the thoroughness of the prepurchase inspection. It all could've meant lot's of dollars down the track, so we left it. |
I flew 210 VH-LTB when it had 400 hrs on it.
If I'm not mistaken it has quite a few more than that now. |
....hmmm. I used to grease wheel bearings on LTB for some time from when it had 1100 hours on it.
I even have a photo somewhere. K |
There is a really nice 210N at YSBK that has around 2900hrs on it. A little higher than the ones in discussion, but this one is a really nice machine...

It is a beauty, with dual 430's and the lot - apparently available for hire. Good luck to them - but must admit if was mine, it would not be getting anywhere near the private hire/training scene There is a really nice 210N at YSBK that has around 2900hrs on it.
