Were Can I Get ???

Hi
Not sure if this is the right post for this, but can anyone tell me where I can get hold of two childrens airline seat belts as used on the commercial flights ?, the ones that loop onto yours
.Would be happy to swap a current Dash 8 training manual for a pair .
Please PM me

Cheers

You ask a flight attendant, and they will bring you one.

Actually, they will notice you're carrying a baby, and bring you one anyway.

I wanted to aquire them to KEEP for other purposes

Thanks

Any aircraft upholstery shop will make them for you - they will not be cheap though.

Yes, I did try there and the cost was really pricey as anything the related to the business usually is .
I was hoping someone may have a couple in the back of a hanger they were not using and would part with .
We were planning to tour abroad and in some of the places , vehicles don't have childrens car seats and are not required by law to do so
and this would solve the problem.

Thanks for your suggestion

Pretty sure they're the same mob I used a couple of years ago for the same thing you're after.

Hope it's of help.

Just how safe are they?

When I looked into this about a year ago (there's a thread on here somewhere) I remember reading that some ATSB published studies show that they are not particularly safe in the case of an accident. They will revent junior from becoming a missile, but junior will most likely suffer serious injury.

I cannot recall whether this is due to the fac tthat airline seats are lap belt only, so that if you were travelling in a car with shoulder harness you might be better off, but I am not sure how you'd attach the loop to a such an arrangement.

And BTW I did not end up having to buy one as our aircraft was delivered with 16!

Good luck!
