Leigh Creek emergency landing

Rumour has it that a Metro returned to land this week sometime.
No details.

flightidleflat 25th Jun 2008 09:34

Wasn't one of Sharp's metros possibly? I heard a little whisper about a single engine landing, not sure where though.

Wee Mary McGregor 25th Jun 2008 11:57

Aye laddies, ye are correct on both counts. 'Twas one o' Sharp's Metros that diverted from somewhere between Moomba & Adelaide to land at Leigh Creek after the left engine failed at FL180. My contacts tell me that when the bottom half of the clamshell was dropped pieces of metal fell out onto the tarmac! :{

WMM.

And just what, pray tell jetstar 1, are you trying to say?:confused:

UBE 26th Jun 2008 08:45

Nothing wrong with Rosie best pr airBP have going.

Jetstar pull your head in.

Rose has helped countless pilots with varying ranges of licence and experience over many years. She has been a local member of the SES for years and has given so much to the aviation community and society as a whole.

Pull your head in. You are well out of place!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I would consider Rose's presence a good reason to choose to land at Leigh Creek.

jetstar1 26th Jun 2008 23:11

Jeez sorry guys, didn't mean to cause such a fire. (Should stop posting when pissed). I have been through YLEC and met Rosie. Didn't mean to offend, just thought some tongue-in-cheek humour.

Walrus 7 26th Jun 2008 23:14

Come on you blokes ... Rosie does a damned fine job! Her OAM (OA?) was well deserved.
