Dookie on Drums 3rd Jun 2008 06:30

Oh no, not again! :{ This is not good at all!

takeonme 3rd Jun 2008 06:38

Idiots.

Not you guys, the journalists.

The plane in the pic is not the same as the one involved in the incident this morning.

Capt Wally 3rd Jun 2008 07:45

'takeonme' yr right it can't be the same plane/incident. the report mentiones off the rwy, bogged etc, looks to me like that 'bog' is black bitumen! I love it when the journo's say 'crashed', what describes the word crash? That's a whole other thread I'd say. Personally I think that this latest incident is just that, an incident.

As long as nobody was hurt it's just another day in the life of a pilot

Not only was nobody hurt, but the aeroplane got hosed off and departed an hour later.

Stationair8 3rd Jun 2008 09:57

Fixed and flying within the hour, amazing.

Dookie on Drums 3rd Jun 2008 10:59

Hope it wasn't the original pilot who ran off that took off an hour later :ooh:

Capt Fathom 3rd Jun 2008 13:03

Of course it was!

Why would you waste the experience gained the first time around!

(By the way, if you skid off the road in your car, do you take a week off? NO. You pull it out of the mud and drive away!!)

Dookie on Drums 3rd Jun 2008 13:13

Yep you're right.

Not much difference between your two scenarios...:hmm:

A week off? Perhaps not. Who mentioned taking a week off??

I hope the Pilot has brushed up on his "Fuehrer Speak!":ugh::ugh:

nasmablue 4th Jun 2008 06:46

Why would they need to since it wasn't even an aircraft or pilot from that company?

sms777 4th Jun 2008 11:31

Bloody ScareTex bashers again!:{

BOK_ 4th Jun 2008 12:31

It wasn't Airtex you idiots

:ugh:

Chief Air 4th Jun 2008 20:45

It was a wagga air aircraft. nose tyre deflated just proir to lift off.
Pilot did a great job. Unfortunatly not enough run way to stop.
