CASA Mailing Address In Brisbane

The postal address for the Regional office at Brisbane and Tamworth has been changed without a lot of fanfair. All mail sent to the old postal addresses in Brisbane or Tamworth is now redirected to a PO box in Canberra, checked and then sent back to Brisbane or Tamworth.

What was posted in SE Qld would get to the Regional office the next day. Now it will probably take 4-5 working days.

Apparently this is going to occur for all the offices across Australia.

The Brisbane and Tamworth address is now PO Box 2005, Canberra.

Obviously Kevin07 has not heard of this. Does this mean that CASA will have to raise more money from the industry to pay Austpost to move the mail once sorted and checked in Canberra to the various offices or are they proposing to use a courier service.

Is this CASA's idea of helping the industry to be more efficient. Or is it a back-door attempt to entrench Canberra in CASA's structure. The mind boggles :ugh:

Doubt mail cost will be significant but it should justify the employment of a few more geriatrics who have long since passed their "use by date".

Apparently it's a Public Service directive to reduce security threats received in the mail.
