Beijing PanAm International Aviation Academy is the first privately owned flight school and the first approved flight school in China. BPIAA currently has its main base in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, China. BPIAA currently has over 400 students, 60 instructors, 61 aircraft, and 5 level 5 FTDs. BPIAA has the best flight training facilities in China. 4 satellite bases are now open, and at least 1 other will be opened early this year. BPIAA will have the largest fleet of Diamond aircraft in the world. DA40s and DA42s equipped with G1000, 1 KingAir B200 and 2 CJ1. Minimum Qualifications: Grade 4 flight instructor rating with single-engine privilege. First Class Medical. Preferred Qualifications: Grade 3 flight instructor rating with instrument and multi-engine privilege, 500 hours flight time. 100 hours dual given. Company pays full salary during training and pays all costs of training and testing in China. $27,600USD per year salary. Company paid health insurance. Company pays all Chinese taxes. Free accommodation. Free uniforms. Low living expenses. Instructors staying for second term make $36,000USD per year salary. Extra compensation for senior instructors. You mean to say I can get paid US$36,000 after two years, fly DA40 and DA 42s, AND get to live in inner Mongolia as well ?

FTDK at least could introduce them to ICAO Level 4 English and probably a good bit of the Australian language as well. |

Hmmm lets see, thats A$29529.50 net If you wont to compare it to Aust dollars, then compare apples with apples. Here in Perth the average weekly rent has hit $300. Thats $15,600/year. Rent in any suberb worth living in is on average $375/week or $19,500/year. So already you have an annual income in Aust dollars of between $45,129.50 and $49,029.00 net. Add to that health insurance paid for by the company and you could add on another few hundred dollars (I dont know how much it really costs, but my wife is forever carrying on about it). Now add what ever tax you wont to it, but either way I doubt you would of got this sum as a grade 3 four years ago in Australia. |
I wrote to these guys about 2 yrs ago, when they first started advertising in Aus, and told them i was interested and would like further information... They wrote back saying that was very unproffesional of me, and if i was interested i should send a resume... HAHAHA, i told em to stick it!

I have a mate flying there and he likes it. All the money you make, you keep. Everything is paid for .. hotel accommodation, medicals, renewals, currency flights, Chinese taxes, uniforms, health insurance (provided by an Australian company based in Sydney). He spends about $400 USD a month for food and entertainment (food is dirt cheap in China) and saves about USD $1700 a month. By end of contract, he plans to have saved about $30,000 USD. When making comparisons with wages and conditions, take these things into consideration.
But note, it's a slow process to get your Chinese CPL/IR license so you'll need to have patience. And Chinese lifestyle is NOT for everyone .. no doubt there will be people who'd hate it .. and those who do, won't last long there. Ni Hao. |

I only pointed out that the add stated net as opposed to gross and also various additional benefits making AUD 29,530 a resonable salary IF LIVING IN CHINA. and saves about USD $1700 a month Of course if you are supporting a family staying in Australia or other financial commitments then this is more then likely not for you. Pilot shortage yes, and we finally have the upper hand for T&C negotiations, but you have to keep it real. A 500 hour pilot can not IMO demand a tripple figure salary, no matter where they go. |

I for one appreciate that they have actually included information such as the $ and other tidbits in the advertisement, a lot can be said for some of the clandestine ads on there.
Makes it easier for you to make a decision whether to apply or not. |
No not aimed at you monopole - just saying that these days if you arereally serious about getting enough people to allow you to attract train and retain people you have to be offering good money.
