Qf Lame Eba

Is there any feedback from the QF/ALAEA EBA negotiations that were held today? We've been told that both sides are going to put their hands on the table. Is DC going to get his christmas present or has he been a naughty boy?

It'll be interesting to see if the A380 maint. contract was brought up and the progress in finding 70 Lames, Ame's for EBY, (now there is a suggestion for Romulus).:(

Barely any avionic ame's left. We are losing them at a rapid rate. Big M's talk the other day has now stolen the light at the end of the tunnel. Sorry for the thread drift but what DC and M have done to what was once a great place to work is criminal!!!!

Guessing you mean a D check for City of Mildura (yes, yes, I'm a complete novice in aviation speak so I'm guessing here) I've been thinking about it plenty.

It's not something JHAs can do currently with TATs like SIAEC or equivalent.

Equally what if we could pull together a band of LAMEs/AMEs who want to do it? What if we could do it as a slow burn check using fewer people who we could then take on full time and win extra work to try and cover off when EBY finishes? I know we can't match overseas rates but does that matter? Can we win the work some other way?

Many permutations but I can't think of one where QF would be happy to give us the work. I'm all ears, if you can think of any way to keep the work in Aus I'm happy to throw in anything I can provided we don't disrupt the rest of the business.
