Caravan. WX Radar/ Collision Avoidance.

Could anybody please enlighten me as to the type of weather radar and aircraft collision avoidance system the Caravan 208 are equipped with.

The Caravan comes standard with a full 2 x 1 metre collision avoidance system, built of perspex. It is also transparent. Additional backup collision avoidance systems include a number of side-installed perspex units.

Depends on the model, and if it has extra's, we have 4 caravan's all with differen't GPS/WX radar systems, check the cessna website for details on the newer avionics - http://caravan.cessna.com/avionics.chtml

All have at least one pair of Mk I Human Eyeballs that have been recently checked, calibrated if required and issued with an Authorised Release Certificate.:E

Depends on the age of the Caravan.

The older vans have the King equip, generally do not have much above the ordinary.

The newer versions have the Garmin gear fitted, you can option pretty much everything bar auto-throttles and super sonic flight.

Although, there was a swiss guy on a Flightsafety course last year, that literally printed money ( well 95% of the worlds currency ), he was putting a -10 garret in his float C208, certainly getting closer to Mach 1.0.
