Help/Advice please
Hi!
I did post something similar before, but it was a long time ago & I know things are always changing, so please humour me! I'm moving to Oz with my family in Jan next year. I'll be in MEL until mid-May, then BNE. I hold UK CAA (as opposed to JAA) PPL, IMC Rating (mini IR), multi-engine rating and I've done an RAF aerobatics course. >300hrs TT. Currently flying Robin 3000, Rockwell Commander & PA34 (although most of my multi is C310R). Now the questions: 1. Can I fly VH a/c in Oz on my UK licence? Any limitations? 2. The IMC rating allows me to fly IFR in the UK outside CAS and inside up to class D but with raised dep/app minima compared to a full IR. Is there anything like this in Oz or, to go IFR, would I need to do the full rating there? Would any credit be given for the IMC? 3. How do I go about getting an Oz licence? 4. Who's got a cheap (but nice!) a/c I can rent? :O I'll be at Tullamarine while in Melbourne and at BNE in Brisbane. Thanks guys. ap:ok: |
