Cheap PPL + hour building in OZ

Hi guys,

I want to take my PPL + hour building in Australia or preferably New Zealand (nice mountains).

I don't mind relocating from where I take my PPL to where I fly the 130 hours if I can save a few hundred pounds.

Can any one recommend any cheap flying schools and/or plane rental.

Get a PPL wherever you think is a good learning environment, then hire a 172 and fly around Australia.

Just out of curiosity, what is the average flying costs for going around Aus in something like a C172 or PA-28? I've seen a couple of people saying that they are going to fly around Aus so I gather it can't be excessively expensive, but obviously not that cheap either! :p

Cheers

They don't do it because of cost - only because it is so easy.

If flying anti clockwise, keep blue on the right, green on the left.

If flying anti clockwise, keep blue on the right, green on the left.
If flying anti clockwise, keep blue on the right, browny-orangey-reddy on the left.

There you go, I corrected that for you... :8

Wait-a-minute! I'm confused!!! Blue? Brown?

Where did purple go???

keep blue on the right, green on the left.
I though it was not possible to fly a 90 degree constant bank turn in a C-172...;)
Personally I prefer keeping the blue UP!:} :ok:

PS: Constanse and Stanziel are you two related?

jeez mate - it's about 12000 miles around 'straia.

at 100kts, that's gonna take you a little while - it would take less time to fly a 172 from UK to Aus :)

i guess you could do you PPL en-route........

Howard Hughes 15th May 2007 04:15

Constanse actually says he/she wants to fly 130 hours! 12,000 miles divided by 100 knots is only 120 hours...;)

sir.pratt 15th May 2007 04:26

120/130hrs for a ppl?

could have his IR, aeros and most of his CPL hours after flying round 'straia :) would be good at coastal reversal turns and low flying.....

That is post PPL, I didn't think the post was that hard to understand...:hmm:
