PILOTS’ (GENERAL AVIATION) AWARD 1998

novicef 12th Mar 2007 04:42

With all due respect.Unfortunately what is paid is normally quite different to the award. Hence the question.

scrambler 12th Mar 2007 08:22

Unfortunately there are too many who will accept less than the award. Hence the poor pay in GA

Then you may need to specify which Caravan RPT company you would like to know about.

Please forgive the mild thread drift, but I can never find an actual up-to-date
version of the Award on the wagenet site. Indeed, afaik, the latest one is meant
to be here:
http://www.workplace.gov.au/ims/FED/...332_TOC_EX.htm
but it's also out of date.

The only place I can find a current version of the Award is:
http://www.afap.org.au/html/s02_arti..._id=74&dsb=347

Which was important to me recently 'cause I work in GA for an organisation
which does pay the award :-)

What does RPT stand for?

scrambler 28th Mar 2007 19:41

RPT - Regular Public Transport

Covered in the Aussie Regs - basically scheduled airline transport services.

"the purpose of transporting persons generally, or transporting
cargo for persons generally, for hire or reward in accordance with
fixed schedules to and from fixed terminals over specific routes
with or without intermediate stopping places between terminals"

If you like I could pass on the links to our regs that relate to it.
You could read up on RPT and if you can understand the rules explain them to the rest of us.

I see what you're saying, and yeah if you have the links, I would appreciate it, along with any links to study guides, etc for the written/Air Law tests.

Thanks, if you have the time :D

Pay

Pilots get paid what they are worth. So if you are working for less than the award, what does that tell you?
