Chieftain/310 Endorsements in Sydey

Hi everyone,

Im goping to head North for the upcoming season and am wanting to get some endorsements done down here before I head up. Im primarily after a Chieftain and a 310 endorsement. At the same time I also want to do a bit more 210/206 time.

Can anyone suggest a reputable organisation in Sydney that would be able to help me out, Ive had a look myself but am wondering if there is anything spectacular out there.

Most appreciated,

Chill :ok:

chieftain endorsement

chill,
Are you looking for your first job?
If so, don't waste your time or money on getting a 310 or chieftain endo. your chances of touching one in your first 2 or 3 years are very very slim.
time better spent getting time in 200 series which is what you will be flying for quite a while.

secondly, any organisation who requires you to have an endorsement on such a machine will pay for you to do it when they require you to fly it.

when people go out and pay for an endorsement, the operators think that they can get all other pilots to pay for it themselves. it just makes it more difficult for everybody coming after you.

if you are just looking for the next step up the ladder then have a look outside of sydney at somewhere like Macquarie air in port macquarie. they have both 310 and chieftain and would be able to help you out.

Chill_83 bro, ding duck is bang on. Don't waste ya time. Head north, exhibit common sense, land a job flying what ever - blah blah.

After doin it tough for a season, find a better, bigger operator, and most decent operators will endorse you if they think you are worth while and already possess a MECIR.

If you haven't already done your MECIR, then do it on a common type such as Barry the Barron, or Ben the 310. That should get you a foot in the door. From there it should be natural progression onto the bigger types (so long as someone doesn't buy the job above you) LOL :D

BTW - have seen young pilots get picked for jobs flying 206/210s without any time on type, and thats over other young pilots who do have time on type. The criteria for landing these first jobs isn't based completely on time flying (what ever the type) - but more so on the attitudes, knowledge, common sense, ability, and interpersonal skills of the potential pilots.
