Class 1 medical
 

Does anyone know how long it takes to process a class 1 initial issue? I had mine three weeks ago and still no word from CASA.

It will take more time, atleast a month time.

poor aussie cousins , hell here in NZ its back after maybe a week if it is going slow

Did you pay the Dr?? Some Dr's don't send the paperwork off till you pay!!

Find out from the Dr when it was sent

Call CASA and ask the medical section if they have it

If there are no problems it should not take that long - a month at most (!!)

You will have to pay the doctor and also have to sent the application fee to CASA. The doctors never send the forms untill they get the payment..

I had to pay AUD 130 to the doctor. Also the same amount to CASA.

Am waiting for mine.

Did the med exams back in may/june. When I rang up CASA about two weeks ago they said yeah we've got it, it is good to go but you haven't paid your $130. :hmm:
I said thanks mate, be nice if casa actually sent me a bill..."oh, you should have been sent that. I'll fax you a payment form!"
So Led Zep got the payment form but couldn't be arsed paying them the $130..."my license doesn't expire until xxx anyway it can wait another week or two!!"
At the end of last week, a shiny new med certificate arrived in the mail and my faxed payment form is still sitting blank in my in-tray.


TIP: Ring 'em and ASK where the hell it is. They might just send it to you for free. :E :E :E :ok:

Couldn't do the hearing test as the only person authorised was on hols, Asked CASA for an extension, which they granted. Did the rest of the medical. During all this kept in touch with the mob(read CASA). A week before my medical expired I ph'd again to ask where my extension(medical that is) was and was told that since I hadn't paid the golden $130 they weren't going to send it.

So for the sake of $130 they were prepared to place me in a situation. Needless to say I had already paid the $ that morning.

Keep on their backs as errors do happen.
