NZ Flying schools/aeroclubs for international students
 

Hi

Other than IAANZ and AFS what other training organisations take in international students.I did a little search and came up with the following.If anybody has anything more to add please do so.

Kapiti does not take International students i checked with them.anyways thanks for the reply although it was incorrect.Any more anyone?

I have seen that pdf file but when i gave them a call for a cost quote they said they have had international students in the past but currently as of now are not taking any.I guess Website is not updated.

As to which is better NZ or aus i cant say, it all depends on ones choice.And as to which is the best flight school.Nobody can give you any definite answer to that.It all depends on ones needs and expectations.

I think you should give Australia another look, we have enough pin-heads in NZ without you adding to them.

One needs to remove head from backside and be realistic about his expectations of people taking thier own time to help you.

NZ is an excellent place to fly but as Sir pratt pointed out, you wont last 2 minutes in NZ with an attitude like that.

What makes a student international?
 

If coming from a foreign country makes you international, then there is no restriction on flying at any flying club/school/backyard if you want a New Zealand Licence and want to follow NZ rules.

If you are wanting an International course with instructors who have accents, then there aren't many of those.

Best thing to do (in my humble opinion) - fly with a recognised organization who produce a good NZ pilot, then get it converted in your country of choice. Oh, and pay for it yourself without a student loan.

I know personally of a NZ-born part-international student who did the above, and after 3 and a half weeks had a NZ PPL, and then started on his CPL. Very good work ethic. He is now a B Cat.

I apologize if i was rash and my post showed that i have an attitude.its just that i know aussiemaverick is not from australia nor has he trained at basair And his profile shows he is 17 years old.how can a 17 year old know so much.i feel he had nothing to contribute to this thread.He has asked this question"whats the best flight school" in some of threads before.thats why i got irritated and wrote that post.He is just another confused 17 year old who cant make up his mind about choosing a flight school.

If you guys say i have an attitude so be it i am not disputing what you guys say.

There is no restriction for international students to fly in any of the schools/aeroclubs.
But you forgot one thing before we need to come there we need a valid student visa.And the NZ immigration authorities will only give that visa to courses and institutions approved by the NZQA(New Zealand qualification authority).And the course provider should be a signatory to the "Code of practice for the pastoral care of International students".

So you see as an international student our options are limited.
I did a search and the schools i mentioned above are NZQA approved.I just posted them here to check if i missed any of the other NZQA approved flying schools and if anybody has anything more to add to that list.

Dont get upset. I just asked my question. As you said i dont have any replies about NZ as the simple reason is that i have not considered it.

Also you dont have the right to judge anyone whether or not he is 17 or 37, you have only the right to make suggestions.

Dont get angry at small thing like this. Feel comfortable. It's a public forum.

Regarding whether i am confused or not, am not at all. I am going to basair and i joined there, I am waiting for my visa approval.

I am sorry if i made the wrong question at a wrong thread..
