Chief Pilot at Alligator Kununurra WA

I heard that XXXX is leaving Alligator later this year. Have they found a SUITABLE replacement yet?

that is the million dollar question. Define "SUITABLE"

whykillamoocow 4th Aug 2006 06:20

suitable = one that does not grab thy ankles:D

Chimbu chuckles 4th Aug 2006 06:32

The word suitable was removed from the requirements years ago, particularly in WA region.:ugh:

ThoughtCrime 4th Aug 2006 08:12

XXXX is leaving end of Aug I believe, for greener coastal SE QLD pastures.

I also believe that the 2IC in the flight ops dept, has already been undergoing checks for the C/P position.

word.

I hope that aircraft pictured above is not parked in the Security Restricted Area!! Difficult to see the red lines under the dust.

Im sure if young BM wants the job in KNX then its only a matter of bending over the correct way counting his lucky stars to the local men who matter.

But what if the boss's son has a say in things? Well what a shoe in he will be!! Im sure it will be the hardest CP position ever tried in Aust.????? Im sure he wil be trying very hard to obtain the job as Im sure he will never get a job anywhere within Aust waters as every pilot from the past 7 years is now spead far and wide thoughout australia and in much higher positions just waiting for the day that old monties CV turns up on his/her desk.

Have a great time monty and try not to teach too many young new pilots your ways. PW was not he best pilot in the world so try not to emulate him.

For those of you new in KNX ignore Monty and try your best for a good job at a great company.

Good old Oombi
Hey clearprop or GT been over to see your kids lately

bodex666 5th Aug 2006 07:13

Ahhh good old alligator

Good old CP, flying with him was the best. How many times was I warned about Monty before I went up to that hell hole. Hope all you Alligator/Slingair boys and girls are having fun, won't last long when Monty takes the reigns (laughs). Hope you enjoy the Patenavia and Seneca Monty, because you won't be flying much better.

Its Official

Heard from a friend of a friend currently at the gator.

C/P PG has left, cracked it and went to QLD after new C/P BM given approval.

Time will tell....

Guys

I wonder what CM would think of this?

If you don't like the CP... OK fine, but I reckon you are dragging CM & GM through the mud by implication. :suspect: :=

On reflection CM would probably be too big a bloke to lose a minute's sleep over this sort of :oh:

drshmoo 8th Aug 2006 01:50

I think you'll find that everyone here has a lot of time for CM & GM. Nothing disrespectful has been written about them at all. I would be the first to defend them as would all here that have posted. I think the direction of this thread is in relation to someone else.

So is Mont the CP now? Is it official?

bobair 8th Aug 2006 04:19

Yes BM is now the CP.

Quote from BM - "a 210 can easily fly 50kg+ overweight"

I give it 12 months till some new pilot with 200 hours is pressured into taking off overweight, or something equally stupid, and goes through the trees at the end of the runway.

Lets all hope its an Oombi freight run and not an Airvan full of Bunglers.

Another overheard in the office - "load it up, the Partenavia can take 50kg overweight, its a twin, the second engine will drag her into the air"

Another - "everyone has to set a personal limit, mine is about 100 to 150kg overweight" referring to the Airvan.

PG was bought in to bring the company back into line and undo the damage done by PW. The whole time he was there he was undermined by BM and the A-team, getting little support from CM and GM. In the end, another good pilot, like many before him, walks out.

Quote from GM "why do we have such a high pilot turnover?"

There are many good pilots and staff at Alligator. But the company is being run by owners that simply turn a blind eye to the problems. They have been made aware of them (so has CASA) on many occasions, there are no more excuses, you are dealing with peoples lives.

It will probably take a fatal crash for any changes to happen.

"why do we have such a high pilot turnover?"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA! :D

the A-team
aka Golden Boys, Mouse/Snake/Walrus team

and where are they now? heard one is still there (time to go mate!), another is in town (disgraced after bending a floatplane) but rumour has it he will make his way back in given new mid-management. no doubt with the same cocky attitude and weaselish behaviour as before.

Heard the A-team has recent additions, pilots willing to break the rules to get the job done.... onya champs, keep it up, we all think worlds of your professionalism. :D

It will probably take a fatal crash for any changes to happen.
Why does it have to come to that. Heard that statement several times, usually in dialogues for ATSB Investigations on CASA surveillance.

Neutral comment

Just keep the stuff above the belt guys,

ankle grab
...doesnt make your argument look very credible. :=

However all in support of CM/GM, they are good people who mean well.

Neutral comment, no official statements from Disco.

Does anyone know if PG is moving onto a new position or just handed in his notice?.

Both..He should be leaving in 1-2 weeks, he has landed a good job on the coast closer to his family. All the best to PG, nice bloke.:D

hair of the dogma 10th Aug 2006 00:41

So much to say about Alligator and BM however as I typed I realised I don't give a f*** anymore.

One question though. When does the bloke that bent the sea plane get his job back Monty? I've noticed him hanging around the place a bit.
