Aus airlines - how many hours do you log annually?
 
Hopefully this can be done accurately without any crap being peddled. It would be interesting to compare how many stick hours people actually log per year working in Aus. I know it is hard to compare short 737 or 767 sectors with lots of turnarounds to long haul, but on the other hand flying 900 hours long haul per year is also pretty hard due to the jet lag and fatigue on the body. Also, the regionals sometimes have long turnarounds and to achieve maximum hours can involve excessive duty hours.

PS. This has nothing to do with slanging J*, VB or QF conditions. If it degenerates to such, hopefully the moderators close the thread. It would just be interesting to see what more companies could really get out of us given that their perfect scenarios would be to get 1000 hours at least from every pilot. This includes regionals as well. If a pilot shortage begins to occur in the next ten years, then we can all expect to be flogged for more and more stick hours.

For me, 810 hours logged on the 744 in the last 12 months with 6 weeks annual leave. No leave would have had me at the maximum 900 or pretty close.

895 on the 744 with a reduced roster and no leave last year. Would have run out except I happen to have leave come up. Presently on 830 with four weeks leave late last year.

825 hours on regional turboprop with 6 weeks leave included, at an average of 1 hour per sector that's a lot of take offs and landings, I guess that makes me current!!;)

750 hours per year (give or take 20) - three years in a row with a domestic 737 operator.

During my regional days, I was not limited by 900 per year, rather duty hours which saw 800 as about the max I could achieve during a 12 month period.

QF varies depending on the amount of leave you take and the type you are on. Currently, like others on the 400, about 850. I would not want to subject the body to any more than 900 per year (unless I was a Pacific baron, but combining East and West timezones makes it very tough).

800 was very achievble on the 767 doing lots of Asia flying, but doing the East Coast triangle non stop now would make that pretty difficult (I would guess that anything over 700 to 750 would take a lot).

ROFLMAO. If any of them cracked 500 I'd be VERY suprised. I had a bunch of months off last year with a medical problem and I reckon I still clocked more than most classic drivers! One bloke I spoke to did about 250- not through choice mind you. He would have loved to have done triple that!
