Living in NT

Hey all just a repost from the Questions forum,

I have just completed my training and will be moving up to the Northern Territory Shortly. Is anyone aware of which areas to look at around Alice Springs?

Thank you
John

If you like fishing, head to the "todd river"; whilst there play 'count the red can'

The average unfurnished unit goes for about $240/week - it is expensive but there is a lot of share housing around. The easiest way is to come and stay at a backpackers and look for accom. in Alice. Best packers is called 'Annie's Place.' They'll prob charge you about 18/night.

Have a look around the Golf Course area but be prepared to pay serious $$$

Wonder if Bagot Community Locator has any Central Australian advice? Not sure whether his adventures are restricted to the Top End of the NT only?

Get yourself an Advocate (local newspaper) most accomodation will be advertised in that. Previous posts are spot on with prices. Also a room to rent is about $100p/w.
