Hawaii Aviation info

Just wondering if anyone has heard from Hawaii Aviation about the Dash 8 400 jobs in Osaka.

If anyone has/is employed by them please could you please shed some light on the operation, pay/conditions, working environment recruitment process etc.

If you email them they will send you a copy of the T & C's, then you will be able to make your own mind up. Would be good money if you did'nt have to live in Japan!!
Cheers, HH.:ok:

If you can adapt to the japanese way, life in osaka is cheaper than life in sydney, or even adelaide.

My salary when working as a truck driver in japan was about 200,000yen/month. I managed to save 50,000 of that, and still get out on the piss a couple of times a week.

Its a great place if you are an adaptable open minded person who is willing to make an effort to fit in. Having a decent shot at learning the language will earn you more respect from the locals than anything. Otherwise, you will likely hate it.

There used to be a post called Japanara in the asia section of pprune. This had details of that particular Dash 8 contract. It was really good money...and in Japan the tax rate is only around 5%. Pretty damn good.

And no.....Japan isnt that expensive...only Tokyo...other major cities are quite cheap...the economy is pretty shot and I am proud to say that Australias economy has flown past it.......just check the exchange rates of the last three years. So it was cheap...and if you like beer...most restaurants have a deal that includes a meal and all the booze you can drink for 2 hours for 30bucks.:ok:

And the women are HOT!!!:ok:

Gotta correct u on the tax issue pilotdreams, but the rest was spot on:ok:

You were right about it being cheap. Their version of the GST is 5%, but they do have income tax like the oz system. Dont know all the details but the tax-free threshold is near to A$12,000 a year. The top tax bracket is 37% and doesnt kick in until A$200,000!!
