Mile High Club Flights
Further to a discussion a few friends and I had at the local aero club bar recently, I am wondering who does mile high club flights and in what aircraft? I have heard of a mob in Melbourne, and also another mob somewhere in WA. Not a wind-up, just curious to see what aircraft they are using and how much they charge.

that your new years resolution Captaintobe? :}
|
Haha, my membership is actually due for renewal :D but thats not the reason why I asked. Just curious as to who does it (I wouldnt post on pprune and let the whole industry know about it if thats what my new year resolution was though :ok: )

Just hire an aircraft with an autopilot :}
|
Pass-A-Frozo, that would be very easy for me to do, however; what about a member of the general public? Not so easy me thinks.
Does anybody else know the answer to my question? |
Air Australia do them from Jandakot airport in Perth. Done in the Seneca's with the bed in the back that they usually use for patient transfer flights.
I don't know how much they charge. www.airaustralia.net O&G |
Wonder if they put a box of tissues, wipes and an empty bag for the used frangars in the back?
Is the PIC responsible for wiping up the jism stains before someones dear old mum put in the back for a patient transfer back to kickatinalong station? :yuk: For some real entertainment, perch yourself on the hill near the tower on Feb 14 and watch the local lovelies in their finest bedroom attire climbing into and out of the Seneca. :E |
So where have they installed the camera?

Over and Gout - thanks for the reply. I had heard of them but was told there were more operators out there doing the same thing, hence my post. :ok:
Lasiorhinus - Is that just a general comment or an answer to my question? |
Re: Mile High Club Flights
I was just saying that if its just you and her, an autopilot (and 9500 feet and pointed toward the GAFA) would mean an easy way to get her to join.
However if she wanted to partake in the activity with someone who is not a pilot (ie, not yourself), then this really doesnt help you. I'm also assuming that you are male, she is female, and the idea of bonking her appeals to you..... |
Re: Mile High Club Flights
CaptainToBe, don't forget to charge them extra for the 'original' copy of the tape ;)
Why bother with climbing up to 9500' when all you need is 6080'! |
Re: Mile High Club Flights
When...umm..."in progress", do you have to turn off the starboard wingtip light?

Re: Mile High Club Flights
To answer the original question... a Beech 18 does them out of Redcliffe, Brisbane.
I've seen their add in some magazine. I had a look at the aircraft a couple of days ago and asked for a brocure on joyflights and was given a second advertising the mile high club. |
Re: Mile High Club Flights
Try it in a 185 without autopilot. Oh, and it counts a lot more if one of you is actually flying the damm thing.
:E |
Re: Mile High Club Flights
Erotic Airways at Redcliffe, Qld do them.
They use a Beech 18 for the flights, the vibration from those Radials could surley come in handy for the participant girls .......? |
Re: Mile High Club Flights
I found their website
www.eroticairways.com.au Don't know about the hostie though??? Looks like she must have been Qantas in her younger years!! A bit expensive for me, better off doing a red eye flight and grabing a blanket! |
Re: Mile High Club Flights
"Cabin/Cockpit separation ensures complete privacy as you cruise above 5,280 feet (One Mile High +)!"
Hmmm, must be metric miles. SEF |
Re: Mile High Club Flights
If the guy who owns the Beech 18 is who I think it is, his last name is appropriate for this type of operation! ;) :D

Re: Mile High Club Flights
I have flown a 185 without an auto pilot it had an unusual smell in it, wonder if it was the same one that had just been part of a mile high club opps.
