Gulf Line Aviation / Carpentaria Helicopters, Cairns - In Administration

There is a God, here is one operator that has done some terrible things to Creditors, and staff too from what I hear. Now in Administration, Yehh Haaaa !!!!.

http://www.search.asic.gov.au/cgi-bi...=ACN&srchsrc=1

It's because of dishonest folk such as this that i drive a 20 year old car and havent had a holiday in a number of years

Not paying bills, breaking laws ( prosecuted and found guilty by CASA in 1999 ) etc etc.

How suprising, assets sold on the 29SEP05, then "Voluntary Administraion" five day later, what does that tell you.

To the creditors, do not let this dishonest individual get away with anything short of being Bankrupt.

Many honest businesses fold because of the stream smooth talking no hopers such as this.

Good Riddence !!!.

Well here is a bit of interesting news from the ASIC web site ( www.asic.gov.au , go to the search function, then search the national names index ).

GULFLINE AVIATION PTY LTD ( ACN 080 812 782 ABN 27 080 812 782 ), changed it's name to ITALY FAST FOODS PTY LTD on the 14SEP05, and has gone into liquidation on the 11OCT05, now why would somebody do this ?

Being an aviation company, whose AOC is in Carpentaria Helicopters ( ACN 076 707 938 ABN 64 076 707 938, http://www.casa.gov.au/casadata/aoc/...N548430-16.pdf ) name, perhaps one was hoping to save their AOC whilst dumping a great number of creditors.

How very very dishonest, oh and if you thought that was enough, then also has the conjones to open another company with some sort of partner, wait for it, GULFLINE AVIATION (NT) PTY LTD ( ACN 112 876 052 ).

I wonder what will happen when the creditors find out about that little gem ?, oooops.

MP, How do you sleep at night ?.

For Info: the Administrator of atleast one of the companies is KPMG Level 13, Cairns Corporate Tower, 15 Lake Street Cairns PH: 07 4046 8888, F: 07 4051 0116, www.kpmg.com.au .

Contact is Tony Jonsson.

To date, all the companies owned aircraft have been grounded by the Administrator.

The only Aircraft still operating are the cross hired ones, what are the chances these cross hire invoices will be honoured ( TFP, HJV and VIC ).

To the owners of these aircraft ( Surg, Heli and Ema ), you may very well be about to learn an expensive lesson.

One aircraft, RCC has already been taken back by the owner, smart move.

I think it was Shane at YKMB.....Hopefully he got out prior to this...

What a mess.

Now there is a pending application for a new company on the ASIC Web Site for "Gulf Line Aviation", being a QLD application.

There has been some interesting information presented recently, when the Companies went into Administration, there was $889 in the bank, $9,000 ( or there abouts ) dollars of unpaid wages, $125,000 ( or there abouts ) of unpaid Tax ( PAYG and GST ) and an outstanding amount of superannuation to be paid.

And if you do some scratching around you'll also find that the Management of Carpentaria Helicopters wages are being paid by an entity other than the Administrator or previous director, how is that legal in CASA's eyes.

In my opinion, best case scenario the creditors will get an even share of $1,133 or worst case $0 ( or there abouts ).

Not to mention fuel companies being owed money...

It is because of this operator giving me a go that I am now in Virgin Blue. I am very thankful for this operator being around when I needed him, and the opportunity that he gave me.

I am sorry for you and your unfortunate situation, but I must have been one of the lucky ones.

BW,

Thanks for your input.

Like most Pilots, i would imagine you have the will power and stamina and would have gotten there anyway.

Cheers.

As this interesting process has proceeded, CASA has so far allowed an insolvent company to keep their AOC.

CASA, did you know, and the ASIC will be very interested to know that the required notification period to creditors has not been honoured.

One envelope with said notification was stamped by Australia Post just 2 days before the creditors meeting, in one case this company did not recieve their notification until 3 hours "after" the Creditors meeting.

Where these Creditors given a fair chance to represent their respective interests in this company ?, i think not.

Now one company ( the one that own the AOC) is coming out of Administration, i.e. handed back to the Director, having liquidated Gulf Line Aviation, and re-registering the company name under another ABN, to what end, dumping a load of creditors.

Be warned !!!.

The sooner operators like this are gone the better it is for all of us. Had a mate that worked for MP's equally dodgy predecessor. Flew newly 100 hours prawn spotting in a B58. A few months later, while working for a new employer, get a phone call... It seems that the company was refusing to pay for the Baron crosshire as "it was never operated by them"!! Required to appear in court to verify that was his signiture in the MR and that he worked for KAS. Didn't amount to anything cause the company had no money by that stage.....

Solid Gold Dancer 16th Dec 2005 09:41

Update to all interested:

Company name change has been completed, Gulf Line Aviation PTY LTD changed it's name to Italy Foods PTY LTD and was liquidated.

At the very same time an application for Gulf Line Aviation as a company name was registered, the company continued trading under this name.

It now appears there has been a "Jewish Stock Take" ( no offense intended to our Jewish friends ) on some equipment near Cooktown, do you really think everyone is that stupid ?. Apparently a stuck valve.

In the time i have been in the industry i have seen only one R44 with a stuck valve, the aircraft blew its bags, landed on the water then in ground effect returned to HID.

At the time the companies went into administration the AOC holding organisation ( Carpentaria Helicopters ) apparently had a total of "0" employee's, yet still holds/held and AOC, ever read Part 28 of the ACT or CAO 82, an interesting read.

all stations sassie 27th Dec 2005 05:05

virgin driver or SGD, do you know if this was the same company that happened to lose a R44 on a sand bar and the tide just happened to come in and destroy the heli? or was this someone else? i thnk it happened in the last 6 weeks or so around Cape York

Solid Gold Dancer 27th Dec 2005 05:21

Sure was, refer last my post.

mate,if you have nothing better to do than dig up dirt on MP then that explains why you are driving a 20 year old car.Get off your ass and do some flying and you never know you might be able to afford a new car.I have a feeling you are not a poor pilot but a competitor of MP,s who would prefer him out of business probably from the cairns area.To my knowledge (and I worked for him and left on good terms ) MP never had anything to do with KAS so leave him out of that one. Also when the R44 got swamped by the tide there were apparently 2 passengera on board and one of them a pilot, and also 2 fishermen close by who saw the whole thing and rescued them so I think your suspicions are being influenced by your hatred of MP.

psycho joe 31st Jan 2006 04:15

You're pretty slow off the Mark there MP. :E

Get off your ass and do some flying and you never know you might be able to afford a new car.
Or;

Run a company that doesn't record ferry time on mustering ops, or conduct scheduled maintenance, or pay pilots for ferry time;

Put your staff on slave wages. Actually tell them that they should "put in for the dole" to supplement their meager wages;

And my personal favorite. Get your pilots to pay for avgas out of their own pockets because the fuel companies have stopped your credit.

mate,if you have nothing better to do than dig up dirt on MP...
Dig up dirt?? Every time this guy goes into business he digs his own grave. (Metaphorically speaking of course) :ok:

Solid Gold Dancer 31st Jan 2006 19:17

Good one Chopperkid,
I make more money on the tools, why get a pilots licence, so i can wear one of those spanky uniforms, no i think not.

MP owns nothing and pays no one, if you can find me an operation in CS that has rooted every orgainsation that has ever offered a friendly hand, that see's GL as competition, i'll eat my hat.

You have made many bad business relationships, this will haunt you. Many like me will not rest untill you leave aviation or are living under a bridge in a cardboard box.

I wonder what would happen if it was common knowledge that your helicopters are still not charging for ferries, haven't you already been down that road ?

Keep trying little man.

chopperkid 1st Feb 2006 01:48

not MP

Guys where have you been, this is not MP besides he does not remain anonymous as we do .As far as I know he does not employ any mustering pilots or do any mustering so how can his pilots not record hours or not be paid for ferrying.Maybe pre 1999 but not now that is left up to all the other mustering companies. In fact his was the first company to actually pay pilots for ferrying.SGD you are a bitter man and I think you like making threats like this.Do you make threats like this to all your ex employers .

Solid Gold Dancer 2nd Feb 2006 18:59

CK, an employee, no.

MP,

Why should anyone here afford you any honesty, considering the dishonesty you have perpetrated against others, both individuals and companies alike.

The fact you do not know who you've pissed off, is an unwanted side effect of your selfish dishonest methods of dealing with others, read em and weep.

Read some of the above, what can you possibly draw from it, i don't see people talking about JL, MJ, JW, MT or KS in the same distasteful manner, they have functioning profitable businesses and loyal staff.

" In the short time Gulf line aviation has been operating it has been unprofitable throughout ", Hmmm.

You come here with your short man jack russell attack game plan, i find this quite amusing.

How about you grow some balls and explain to the general populas why you've treated both staff and creditors in such a terrible dishonest way.

It is probably easier for you to think all those individuals that have sued you, or walked out the door in disgust, taken back cross hired aircraft, not signed MR's untill bills are paid, moved to seize assets for outstanding bills are scum, you are a terrible minority in this equation.

You've had nearly a dozen business partners in the past, all have seen through the smoke and mirrors, you big cattle baron.

"Your" feed lot is making money now, what are the chances of that.
