Propeller Stolen: Moorabin
A friend of mine keeps his restored Tiger Moth in a securely locked hangar at Moorabin Airport. Imagine his surprise when last week he went to fly and found the propeller was missing. Someone had stolen it!! Whoever did this had to gain access to the hangar and then remove the spinner. undo the eight stepped holding nuts, remove the shrinkage washers and circular front base plate and then pull the wooden propeller off the main drive bolts. Who did this is as yet not known.

You will probably find it on EBAY. :rolleyes:

Or hanging over someone’s bar in their basement with a clock in the middle of it.:{

Gee, seems like someone is building an "interesting" aircraft then!!! What, with a tiger moth prop, a chieftain instrument panel radio panel, and some odd engine instruments out of a Caravan, should be a "dream machine".

I hope the police have been called in. Any chance it was a mechanic who worked on the wrong aircraft? The idea of people lurking around is unsettling. So much for airport "security"

Hope it is not that your mate owes money...to a LAME? Its known to have happened, how would that be called, PROP-Napping?
