"Whoop Whoop pull up"

As someone that sits on the other side of the FD...I have a question.....

My understanding is that "Whoop Whoop pull up" is a much greater alert/warning than "caution terrain, caution obstacle, ect. What I would like to know is why the phraseology "Whoop Whoop" is used?

Why not "Caution pull up?" or "Warning pull up"? Why are the words "whoop Whoop" indicated as having a stronger sense of urgency than "caution or warning" when these alerts/warnings are activated in the FD?

I think you will find whoop whoop is just the written way of describing the sound of the klaxon.

i.e. "TERRAIN TERRAIN WHOOP WHOOP PULL UP"
