Hawker Hunter in Australia

I am trying to establish whether or not there is a Hawker Hunter somewhere in Australia, ex military now privately owned. Not sure if it is true, or if the aircraft is in restored condition or not. Not sure of the Mark Number or which Air Force it was last operated by but could have been RSAF. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks. Emails to [email protected]

I vaguely remember hearing about one or two in Archerfield, that right?

There is a two seater being put together in Queensland, ex RSAF.

Don't suppose you happen to have looked at any of the aviation press reports of Avalon Airshow??

There was one sitting at the civil terminal at Oakey a couple of weeks ago. Not sure of the model or if it is still there.

Not sure why your looking or if you have an individual Hunter in mind but there is one that flys out of Ardmore (south Auckland) which is ex RSAF now privately owned. I know - not Australia - but not much of a commute depending on your reasons for trying to find one.

There are/were quite a few hunters in oz. The only one yet to fly is VH-FRH. which appeared at Avalon. Now based at Brisbane.
