Parachutist's death ?

Does anyone have any information regarding the tragic death of a parachutist at (I believe though I may be wrong) York about 3 or 4 weeks ago? I was talking to his housemate last week and she mentioned it, so I was pretty surprised to not have heard of it. And in the current political climate let's keep the insensitivity to foreigners at zero, please.

The story was well covered, at least by the West Online and the Sunday Times, for several days, including the arrival of the fellow's parents from Japan. They reported that he jumped up as he exited the door instead of diving out, and struck the tailplane.
