The traditional Ruffdus in some sections drive the 12 purely from a $$$ standpoint, contract wise SE will never feature. There won't be too many 24's either, costly and they have their limitations, uneconomical on short runs.

I agree, the PC 24 could only serve a small “market”, not knowing the financials, it was probably cheaper for RF to keep contracting Hawker jets etc, for longer runs in the bigger states.
My question is would PC-12’s not get a go in the SE because of contract stimulations or simply because company policies dictate you can’t fly single engine ops to Flinders, King or Tas in general?

I've flown both the -12 and -24 to Tassie from Adelaide. No issues whatsoever from an aircraft / legality / company point of view, but might be a different story with contract stipulations.

The PC24 only works when it's someone else paying for it.

"In February Rio Tinto put up $15 million for another PC-24 jet to further boost patient response times in WA."

Interesting, thanks.

There should be another line on that table showing accident stats / fatalities.

CareFlight NSW will still be licking there wounds from the recent WA Oil/Gas shamozzle. They would not be in a strong position for this tender.

Why is the navigation database significantly more for the B250 vs PC-12?

It looks like they are saying the crew is doubled on the B250? I thought it's single pilot, so all the doubling of crew costs such as catering and travel doesn't make sense. Looks like propaganda figures for the PC-12 with those dodgy inclusions.

And for some reason the PC-12 needs a bigger hangar or office...

Wasn’t it meant to be announced by the end of last year?

Heard earlier today that Pelair had won it with B350's. Haven't been able to verify it, but not a surprising outcome.

So Pelair got NSW and VIC contracts now. I was under the impression the Vic government weren’t happy with their current arrangements with Pelair.

Would the 350 be able to get into all the strips the 200 currently does?

Jungle drums are beating that Chairman Dan of Sictoria has awarded the contract to Pelair for another ten years.
