I just flew with no medical certificate AND DIDN'T DIE

Medical certificate expired.
I invoked CASA Exemption 57/20 clause 8.
I flew a plane.
I didn't die (or kill anyone).

Bring on self certification for private flying, like RAAus, GFA etc organisations have proven to be safe.

Oh the humanity, think of the poor children in the orphanage that you exposed to such an unimaginable risk!!

PS: I thought that was for those operating under an AOC. I must not have read it thoroughly enough, so thanks :-)

Depending on the country microlights might work without a medical forever.

Are you insane, T5?

Next think you'll be telling us is that even when you held a medical certificate you made your own assessment, before each flight, of whether you were fit for that flight.

Out of interest, are there Stats out there on Medical Certificates being denied and the general categories/reasons they've been denied under/for in the past?

It's surprising the aircraft didn't realise and immediately break down.

I spoke to George recently. He sounded a bit husky.
