9th Sept. PNG Post Courier

Three men allegedly involved in the K160 million drug bust outside Port Moresby on July 26 have pleaded not guilty to the charges of aiding and abetting and conveying smuggled goods.
Waigani Court Magistrate Dessie Kaputin Magaru adjourned their cases to Oct 15.
Dominic Telauki Terupa, 34, of Mortlock in Autonomous Region of Bougainville, Morgan Mogu, 35 of Abau in Central and Shane Dikana, 31, from Lealea village in Kairuku/Hiri, Central are remanded at the Bomana Correctional Service.
The two foreigners also allegedly involved in the drug bust also had their cases adjourned.
Australian aircraft pilot David John Cutmore’s case was adjourned to Sept 24, after lawyer Agnes Peter requested for a two weeks adjournment because she was attending to another case at the National court.
He is staying at the Bomana refugee detention centre.

Mother ship NIP

Trying to find the media source, but I think a vessel connected with the LHI and Newcastle drug haul, possibly the “muvver ship”and Police had a “shots fired exchange” incident around New Ireland several weeks ago.

Question unrelated to this thread - but PNG content

Can anyone give us an idea of the ownership, company structures and maybe current operations for these three organisations:

Airr PNG
Tropic Air
Heavi Lift

Asking for a friend ............. (actually, an investor looking to sink some money into the oil and gas business, doing their due diligence on support infrastructure).

Because there is never smoke without fire, rumour and innuendo welcome..............

Mary, you have to be kidding .. where did you come from?

Air PNG, no such thing, basic internet check would show the company as 'PNG Air', owned by NASFUND
Tropicair is one word, again basic internet search would assist you, predominately Malaysian owned
Heavi Lift, again you show a teenager attitude as the spelling is 'Hevilift', NASFUND has their finger in the pie.

No investor would recruit a person such as yourself, with such poor spelling and lack of background research.

Due diligence is undertaken by law firms and accounting firms, not a Mary or in pidgeon english a "meri"

A few lines in the Post Courier the other day suggest that the pilot may walk free, along with all the other players.
Apparently he/they were arrested by the wrong people; viz: Police/Customs; squabbling in the ranks etc.
Clever lawyer!.
Don't laugh because it is PNG and it's "the land of the unexpected"

That would be hilarious, if true.

And surprisingly not unexpected!🤣

From the PNG Post Courier today.

One charge against the pilot dropped; that of illegal entry to the country during the pandemic.

Here’s my 2 cents.
The pilot will plea bargain to allow him to serve his sentence in Australia. If no plea bargain, then there will be heavy pressure by DFAT.
He will be sent to some cushy prison farm in Queensland for a year or two at the most and then because of good behaviour, health issues, and what ever dodgy excuses his lawyer will concoct, he will get parole. Everyone’s a winner in the drug trade in Australia.

Interesting that some charges have been dropped.

Makes you wonder if anybody will be held accountable.

Nearly five months since the event took place.
I think the chubby pilot will have shed a few pounds in detention.
Perhaps a food package for Christmas?

I’m sure he has meet a few new businesses associates at the retreat.

Probably very fluent in Tok Pisin now and has a taste for SP and the local talent!

Didn’t the High Comm. rescue him from prison and put him in some comfortable refugee camp? Maybe he’s squealing in gratitude already. Wonder if the Aerostar at Redcliffe has any connection with this lot?

The pilot of the Redcliffe airport snatch was charged in Brisbane Magistrates Court today, released on bail.
Mark Nolan. fairly well known. If he squeals too loudly then ......
CH 9 News.
Wonder if there is a connection to the PNG heist?
