As far as damage is concerned, the pictures in the PNG AIC report show:-

Bent prop, damaged power turbine, torn off nose gear, bent firewall, ripple is fuselage aft of firewall, so all those need replacing as well as complete engine overhaul I would suggest.

It's more about where the repairs would be carried out, an approved hangar and a qualified engineer. All of which would be in short supply.
