Perfect..dry season sunset on the balcony of Chez tin, bottle of icy cold Pinot Gris woobla juice, and the throb of MMA doing lazy circles overhead...ahhhh....round engines.......

Should be a government subsidy for it to happen every sundee...

Nothing like the simple things in life cold beer, warm day and the sound of round engines overhead!

Keep up the good work VH-MMA and the Hardy family.

Did Sydney Harbour Seaplanes replace or re-engine one of their aicraft? I thought they used to all be radial DHC-2s, but now there seems to be a turbine one.

She's a gorgeous beastie Tinpis Hope she's being well looked after in her active retirement!

Crosshair: was down there a couple of weeks ago... didn't see any Turbine Beavers, although they do have a Caravan on amphib floats getting around. Would be a helluva thing to see a Turbine Beaver though... any more info?

bottle of icy cold Pinot Gris
I thought you'd get strange looks in the Territory with a comment like that?

Pinot doesn't come in stubbies now, does it?

What's the state of MMA now and are there any plans to get her airborne again?

No apologies for this thread drift, over in Canada and History & Nostalgia forums.

That post was an impressive thread resurrection... over 10 years! A timeless thread, not unlike the DC3.

I believe he is. I tried to call him on the phone a couple of times but no answer. I would like to think he is OK and with us.

From what I can see he last visited PPRuNe only four months ago on 14 September 2018 but his last post was 1 January 2016.

If you are watching Tinnie, best wishes to you me Ol' Wantok!!!
