What is the reason for the high failure rate for DEC's? If they are coming in with F50/ATR/Braz/DHC8 background which I think they generally look for why do they tend to struggle?

A case of little t, BIG C?

It’s big T at Rex in my personal experience.

Last guy I knew just had a case of cantflytheplaneitis and a side dose of genuine “don’t tell me what to do, I have so much experience that I know everything already”

(Allegedly)

For the 5 years + I spent there, it was definately a “Regime” moreso than any other airline I have worked for. Even 10 years ago, the place had so many guys soc’d for various reasons, pilots were literally having months of paid time off because the company couldn’t get them in the simulator.

There were many extremely professional and competent guys that were at a point (age-wise / family etc) where they would have been content to stay and enjoy the regional flying had it not been for the utter garbarge that came down the line via management.
